Key Stage 3 Football News

Students in KS3 had been asking to play a real football match against another school since September but it’s been hard to find a suitable opponent and then finding availability. Thankfully, The Warwickshire Academy offered to host us in a game against their KS3 students.  The students were excited and given the full match experience; from kit being laid out in the school changing rooms, singing on the team bus on the way over, as well as the game itself. The Oak Wood students showed great respect to their hosts and were brilliant representatives of the school. Despite an incredibly narrow defeat, all the players came off smiling and were in good spirits on the return journey home. We have been invited to take part in a mini tournament in July which the team will be looking forward to taking part in.
