Welcome

It is a privilege to be the Headteacher of Oak Wood Secondary School which is a member of the Central England Academy Trust (CEAT).

My vision is for every student to leave Oak Wood with the confidence, character and determination to thrive in their next destination. Academic excellence will remain at the heart of what we do, but equally important is the development of curiosity, creativity, leadership and integrity. We want our young people to aim high, believe in themselves and understand that their potential is limitless.

Achieving this requires a relentless commitment to high standards, inspiring teaching and a culture where every individual feels seen, valued and supported. I am proud to work alongside a talented and dedicated staff team who share this commitment, and together we will continue to provide an inclusive, aspirational and forward-thinking education for all.

Strong partnerships with parents/carers are essential to realising our vision. When school and home work together with shared purpose, our students flourish.

We work closely with Oak Wood Primary School to provide a seamless transition into secondary school to ensure support is maintained, allowing us to build on established foundations as students enter the next stage of their education.
